Cela faisait un moment que je ne vous avais pas parlé de mon prochain livre, Et bien je viens de signer le Bon à tirer ! Il sortira le 12 septembre prochain, soit le jour même de mon anniversaire (bon ça c’est le hasard !) et il est édité par les éditions de Terran et préfacé par Guilhem Bourrié, retraité de l’INRA d’Avignon et qui fut un de mes professeur de DEA.
Son titre est finalement « un sol difficile, et alors ? Observer son environnement et s’adapter aux contraintes pour cultiver son jardin »
J’ai dû fortement remanier le projet par rapport à mon intention initiale qui était de m’appuyer essentiellement sur vos retours d’expérience. J’ai vite vu que cela ne permettait pas de couvrir l’ensemble des thèmes souhaités et que cela questionnait beaucoup la perception de ce qu’est un sol difficile.
La première partie du livre traite de la définition de tout ce qui peut être perçue comme difficulté dans la mise en culture d’un terrain, difficulté au niveau du sol, bien sûr, mais aussi au niveau de la topographie ou du climat. Cette première partie est aussi un manuel d’observation du sol ou je vous explique en fait tout ce que j’observe lorsque je fais une étude de sol pour un client, la seule lecture de cette partie vous aidera à devenir un pédologue en herbe !
La seconde partie s’évertue à trouver des solutions pour ces différentes difficultés énumérées. Ces solutions s’appuient aussi bien sur ma propre expérience car j’ai eu la « chance » de cultiver plein de jardins différents avec des spécificités diverses et variées et sur les expériences d’autres jardiniers, certains parmi vous d’ailleurs.
